Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • Lemon pepper to taste (optional)
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons plus 1 3/4 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons plus 1 3/4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons plus 1 3/4 teaspoons water
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons oil

Directions

  1. Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and oil in a small bowl until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Place the salmon in a resealable bag and pour in the soy sauce mixture.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Preheat the grill for medium heat.
  6. Lightly oil the grill.
  7. Place the fish on the preheated grill and discard the marinade. Cook the salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until the fish easily flakes with a fork.
