Tarako (Salted Pollock Roe)

Tarako (Salted Pollock Roe)

13 reviews

If you’re looking for a unique treat, we can’t recommend our Tarako enough. This delicious seafood is usually only found overseas in Japanese markets, but now Oceanside Seafood customers have the opportunity to enjoy its taste without ever leaving home.

We source our Tarako from markets in Japan, and each package contains five ounces, or 145g, each packaged in three to four egg sacs. Tarako is more naturally flavored than Mentaiko, which features spicier seasonings and flavors. It has a milder seasoning. After having the seafood delivered to your home, serve Tarako broiled or grilled with steamed rice, or try one of the dozens of Tarako pasta recipes!
